It's a good thing that the police take really drunk people off the streets, cause, you know, they might actually hurt themselves:

John Hodgman - The I'm a PC guy

060922_hodgman_main
John Hodgman is a very intelligent man.He is also a very strange man. His book, The Areas of My Expertise (which has just been released in paperback by Riverhead), is an omnibus compendium of probable falsehoods. According to the dust jacket, the arenas of his know-how are centered primarily on “matters historical; matters literary; matters cryptozoological; hobo matters; food, drink, and cheese (a kind of food); squirrels and lobsters and eels; haircuts; utopia; what will happen in the future; and most other subjects.”

Beware the killer teddy bear

A stuffed Paddington Bear turned killer this month at a Fish and Game hatchery in Milford. The bear was dropped into a circular pool by a "person or persons unknown" and clogged the flow of water, killing 2,500 rainbow trout, according to a statement from hatchery supervisor Robert Fawcett."RELEASE OF ANY TEDDY BEARS into the fish hatchery water IS NOT PERMITTED,"Fawcett said in a written statement. He urged anyone who drops a teddy bear in the water to find a fish culturist to remove it. "They might save your teddy bear, and keep it from becoming a killer," he said.
